FAQs

  • How many pads will I need?

You will need 10-12 pads if you plan to wash every second day.

  • Can I wash them with other things?

Yes definitely, just treat them like you would your knickers. Same rules apply. White with white and colours with colours, just remember the no fabric softener rule.

  • How do I wash them?

Wash within 48 hours and use a non-bio powder. Bio powders and liquids can corrode the bamboo fibres and we don’t want that. Avoid fabric conditioner as it will coat the fabric fibres and reduce their absorbent capacity.

  • Do I need to wash them before I use them?

Yes, it is a good idea to give them a few washes to get them up to full absorbency. You can wash them in with your normal laundry.

  • Will they stain?

The secret to preventing staining is a quick cold water rinse by hand before you pop your pad into the bathroom bag. Don’t rinse with hot water as it will set stains – and wash within 48 hours.

  • What should I store them in?

Store soiled pads in the Bloom & Nora bathroom bag. With its’ handy snap on/off strap,  you can it hang off the doorknob and it has a waterproof interior with zippered top to keep wetness in and nosey parkers out!

  • Can I use them over-night?

Yes you can, whilst we especially recommend the mighty pad for night-time you can used the smaller pads if you are petite and/or have a light flow

  • How often should I change them?

    Every 4-6 hours is best

  • Can I return them if I don’t like them?

For hygiene reasons we can only accept returns of unwashed and unused goods.

  • Which size is best for me?

We have four sizes and levels of absorbency:

    • Liner sized for light flow
    • Normal size for normal day flow
    • Longer size and with extra absorbency for heavy flow, day or night
    • Very long for very heavy, overnight & postpartum flow
  • Which pad is best for me?

It depends entirely on you; we tend to find that first time users go for Noras as they like the stay dry and stain repellent fabric. Those who are less worried about staining and love the bold, bright colours will go for the natural bamboo Bloom pads.

  • Can I tumble dry them?

Yes, on a cool setting, but they are fast drying so shouldn’t need to be tumbled. If you do tumble them this can affect the shape.
